Developed in consultation with local teachers, this model introduces clearer navigation, streamlined functions, and enhanced usability to support both students and educators.

Key improvements include:

  • Format Key:  Defaults to S↔D functionality.

  • Brighter, Bolder Display: Clearer navigation and shift commands.

  • Numbered Menus: Easier access to functions.

  • Improved Catalog View: Updated Catalog view shows more options on a single screen before needing to scroll.

The fx-8200 AU gives exact values when it can, meaning we get can answers involving fractions, surds, and pi by default. While this is great in many ways, there’s times where you’re going to want decimal answers rather than an exact fractional answer.

Yes! The fx-8200 AU II is approved for use in all Australian States and Territories.

Improvements for the fx-8200 AU II include:

  • Numbered menus
  • White inlay on navigation keys and brighter blue on shift commands
  • Format key defaults to S to D functionality
  • Catalog now displays 15 commands on one screen, including % in first screen
  • nPr & nCr on the keyboard
  • Scientific notation key defaults to standard scientific notation entry
  • Recurring decimal notation as used in AU schools

The fx-8200 AU II will be available to purchase from July 2026. 

The fx-8200 AU II will be available to buy from all major resellers, including Officeworks, Abacus, Campion, Winc, Box of Books.

The model will also be available to purchase online from Casio Australia, a division of Shriro. 

The web-based emulator for the fx-8200 AU II will available in July 2026.
